Another school year roles past...

Hurrah... its the start of the holidays. They have felt like a long time coming this year. So much to do and so much organising. The children seem to have had one event after another... busy busy busy!Of course the teachers deserve a little treat...
Which prompts a sewing order full of heartfelt thanks.
On a personal note I wanted to say a big Thank You and how much I appreciated all your fabulous comments on my Dotty Red Blog. I thank you for following me over here and for bearing with me over the past few months. I am sure in time I will share the events that have led up to this stage but I wanted to ease myself in gently and get back the rhythm of blogging.
Sewing is no longer just a hobby for me, its now a way of putting food on the table, life has really turned up side down and I am still trying to work it all out, the future is full of insecurity and unanswered questions but with a little focus, energy and the support of a precious few I and indeed my children are getting to a better place. I thank you from my heart.

I just adore your hearts - what a beautiful gift for your childrens' teachers! My kids are much older than yours - in their teens - but I still have such a sense of joy when their school year ends and I know there will be long days when we can hang out together not doing much. Of course, we are more likely to be having 'Buffy' marathons than searching for crabs on the beach, but still, just spending time with them is so special.

Good to see you back in blog land. Your blog was one of a few that inspired me to set up my own and I was sad to see you go.
I love the hearts, its such a special thing to be able to give hand made. I am sure they will love them.

It's wonderful to see you back in blogland again and I would echo that sentiment "hurrah" for the school holidays...except my children are home-educated and are with me all the time which I absolutley love. Gorgeous cushions, love the colours you've used, especially the LOVE one.
Hope you and your children have a happy relaxing summer.
